BIZPRO and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine have jointly launched a series of regional fairs designed to promote trade and investment opportunities in Ukraine. Under the slogan “Made in Ukraine”, each event in the series will highlight a particular industry sector of the Ukrainian economy and be hosted in a different city of Ukraine. The first event, Made in Ukraine: Furniture and Home Furnishings Fair, was held October 27-29, 2005, in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, in partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers. The fair provided a centralized sourcing point for domestic and foreign buyers, gathering the best Ukrainian producers of ready-to-assemble and solid wood furniture, wrought iron furniture and accessories, office furniture, hardwood flooring, glass and ceramic tableware, decorative glass, and more.
Made in Ukraine Fairfacilitate and simplify the buying process, minimize the buyers’ time and eliminate guesswork in identifying appropriate suppliers. For Made in Ukraine: Furniture and Home Furnishings Fair all exhibitors were prescreened by the organizers, ensuring the highest quality and most reliable trade partners. In addition, pre-registered buyers received company profiles and product information from all producers who matched their exact purchasing requests, in advance of the event. Private appointments were then scheduled with those identified producers during the fair for further discussions and negotiations.
